Meet the President of the United States, circa 2048.

Most social issues had been resolved for the most part. Poverty, privacy rights, racism, marriage rights for all, along with most other social inequities had long dissolved as older generations died off, and their outdated policies with them. With the discovery of the Hephret Scrolls (commonly known as the "Rainbow Scrolls") in 2015, effectively "outing" Jesus as a gay black man, the various Christian churches were forced to confront a profound misreading of their faith. This resulted in the slow but eventual dismantling of prejudices and preconceptions based on race, gender, and sexual identity.

Combined with the anonymous "donation" of universal education that began in 2020, (allowing anyone residing in the country regardless of citizenship a full ride to any school or college) the United States began an intellectual, spiritual and creative Renaissance that continues to this day.

Class struggles, no longer over information and education, meant that the concept of "The American Dream" shifted from amassing wealth, to knowledge and understanding. This new "dream" resulted in a hyper-educated citizenry full of ideas, virtually eliminating pollution and disease and crime within a single generation.

Instead of wealth determining power, the elite of the elite, were simply the brightest and best. The cream of the new American crop, would rise to lead.

Meet the President of the United States, circa 2048.

Lee Grady, Sums up what I think is happening in the church.

We reap what we sow, we serve a holy God who will not be mocked. Satan can’t be blamed. Other’s can’t be blamed, no spin heals the wounded, and God’s love calls us to remember the lessons of history and immature leadership. There are no shortcuts, faith is not bling. Wisdom must be sought, it is not handed to us. We work out our salvation with awe and trembling. PR firms, business models, media platforms do not hide the lies of our life when we face the cross.

The father of a Christian preacher who falsely claimed to have cancer says anyone who gave money to his son will be able to get it back.

Michael Guglielmucci faked having a terminal form of leukemia for two years while preaching to the Planetshakers group in Melbourne and Adelaide.

It is believed he received a number of donations for treatment for his fake illness, and even released a music single titled Healer.

Another Pastor added to wall of shame and bringing to light that Pastors are human too.

I first heard the song "Healer" in Chapel a few weeks ago, and it WAS a really moving song about Jesus as a healer. "Jehovah Rophe" - Healer. So it was a big shock to know that this Man lied about having cancer. What a big lie to harbor for 2 years!!! He said" that his guilt and shame manifested into true illness". ( yah think??--) I was thinking about it this today...Why did he lie? Why another pastor gone wrong?

My thoughts: Holding the office of pastor is HUGE, imagine a giant gap between people and what they actually perceive is GOD, and the office of pastor that helps set a direction. Like a good Shepard or like a trusted servant. There is an enormous amount of Power, and I'm sure that it’s tough to separate the praises of self and that which belongs to the heavens...

A good quote solidifies this for me:
"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

So, that being said I think there are two observations that come to mind.

2) Michael Guglielmucci is Human. And his errors were broadcast on
the 10 p.m. news--Ours our not.

1) God used this man as an example. In a way to say: Hey, no longer is the day that you have to conform to the ways of church as you have known it. But that you are the church and a personal relationship with me and my son is what’s needed. Of Course, I don't have the facts to back that up, I don't own a gilded gold foiled hotline to heaven, but this is what I feel. :)

How do you start a friendship with God and Jc?
Simply ask for his guidance, to open your heart. Ask to see things through his eyes.

A first timer prayer tip: never ask for patience unless you want to be tested time and time agiain, with rude people, traffic, and things that try your patience.

This is the first post for Gay Disciple of Christ, and this is really in response to the lack of sources for the Christian "Bi, gay, lesbian, trans" community. I'm hoping and believing that the Holy Spirit is working with me on this. To tell you the truth, my first graphic upload, crashed my very reliable PC. I felt like the "world" was against my venture here. Now, I know that some people will not agree with this, but you sure don't have to read it either. :) This is for the seekers of truth. Gnosis=to know.

I am a graphic designer that found Christ because I heard the knock on my heart.I was a seeker by nature. I went through a lot of different religions looking for truth. This journey took me through, Hare Krishna temple, Judaism, and lastly Buddhism. When Jesus found me I was a self important, ego-centric, depressed lil' southern gay. I'm not saying that Jesus waived his wand, but that JC/Holy Spirit teaches me ever so gently. JESUS ROCKS my Socks! You might be on your journey still, and looking which is good. Gay Disclpe is offering a fresh modern view of the teaching of Jesus Christ. Without altering the word and adding a fresh graphic and visuals.

Our mission is to light the lamp and keep it burning in Jesus name.
